What is Mary?
Mary is an Android app designed to simplify communication for people who may struggle with modern smartphones — particularly older adults and those with memory or cognitive challenges. It provides a calm home screen with trusted contacts, reminders, and a dedicated HELP button.
How do I set up Mary on a phone?
Download Mary from the Google Play Store, open the app, and follow the setup steps. A caregiver can link their account to manage contacts and reminders remotely via the Mary portal.
How do I add or change contacts?
Contacts can be managed from the Mary caregiver portal at app.marycare.co.uk/portal/, or directly on the device by a caregiver using the Caregiver Access feature.
What does the HELP button do?
The HELP button on the Mary home screen allows the device user to quickly alert their trusted contacts that they need assistance. Caregivers will receive a notification on their phone or through the companion app.
Is Mary a medical or emergency device?
No. Mary is a communication and support tool, not a medical device. It should not be relied upon as an emergency service. In a life-threatening emergency, always call 999 (UK) or your local emergency number.
How do I delete my account or data?
